Whether your passion lies in historical crafts, dancing, heavy combat, or courtly arts, we warmly invite you to step back in time with us. In the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA), we are proudly participatory. Rather than just reading about history, we wear the armor, host the banquets, stitch the garments, and share what we learn with one another and our community. More than just a hobby or a recreation of the Middle Ages, our local group is built on courtesy, nobility of spirit, and genuine hospitality. We strive to create an atmosphere where everyone feels welcome, proving that a society of nobility is truly open to all.

Welcome to the Canton of Middlegate! Serving Davidson, Guilford, Randolph, Rockingham, and Stokes counties, we are the local branch of the SCA—a non-profit educational organization dedicated to exploring pre-17th-century Europe. We are part of the Barony of the Sacred Stone and the broader Kingdom of Atlantia, which spans across North America and around the world.
